A memory of a parent or grandparent may live in a phrase, a habit, a story or an ordinary moment you did not realize you would keep. This discussion offers space to describe one memory and what it means to you now. You can also speak about a gap: a question you wish you had asked or a story whose details remain uncertain. Participation does not require idealizing a relationship or sharing something you would prefer to keep private.
- Which small memory would you choose to describe?
- What do you remember directly, and what was told to you later?
- Has its meaning changed as you have grown older?
- Is there a respectful question it has inspired you to explore?
